The $ounds of Analogue Jr.
Back in 1997, when I was all of 10, I thought the things I had to say were important enough to be recorded. To me, growing up around live music, recorded sounds were the most sacred things created. Now it’s 2009, and I still think the same way; some things nvr change.
Here are some snippets of a cassette I found when I took a trip home. I was so hype to find it, playing it from my Talkgirl that knxwledge made me digitize it. 60 minute A and B sides were both full…one with radio dubs, the other with me recording every waking thought, music verse I knew (however wrong), and ultimately getting used to the sound of my own voice played back to me.
Well, enjoy my rendition of Up Jumps Da Boogie, my 90s prophecy, and my feminist rant before I was aware feminism existed. Be glad you missed out on Ladies Night and other random Da Brat verses.
